Espresso Shot Timer is a local app. All data stays on your device. We respect your privacy and have designed this app to work completely without collecting any personal information.

Data Collection

We prioritize your privacy. While we do not collect personal data, we collect anonymized analytics to improve stability and performance.

❌ No personal information collected (e.g., name, email, location)
✅ Anonymized usage analytics (e.g., app crashes, OS version) via Expo Insights
❌ No tracking for advertising
❌ No third-party data sharing for marketing

Sensor Data

The app uses your device’s accelerometer to detect vibrations from your espresso machine. This sensor data is:

✅ Processed locally on your device
✅ Never transmitted to any server
✅ Never stored beyond the current session

Local Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

Calibration settings – to remember your machine’s vibration sensitivity
Last shot time – to display your previous extraction time
App preferences – such as debug mode settings

This data can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the app or using the “Reset Onboarding” feature.

In-App Purchases

If you choose to support the app through in-app purchases, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not have access to your payment information.

Third-Party Services

The app uses RevenueCat for managing in-app purchases. RevenueCat may collect anonymous usage data related to purchases. For more information, see RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

The app also uses Expo (EAS Insights) to collect anonymous usage and crash data to help us improve the app’s stability. For more information, see Expo’s Privacy Policy.
